There’s a new Joker trailer! How does this new clown measure up to his predecessors?
The new Joker trailer landed, and the entire internet basically had a meltdown. We got a look at Joaquin Phoenix in his full Joker outfit, looking deeply disturbed and rocking a new costume. We also got to see a bit of his transformation from failed comedian to extremely successful psychopath.
Believe it or not, though, there’ve been some other iconic depictions of the Clown Prince of Crime!
The late Heath Ledger, much missed acting genius, shattered all expectations with his version of The Joker. In Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, he managed to become a larger-than-life version of the infamous madman, essentially becoming everyone’s favourite version of The Joker in the process.
Ahh, who could forget Jack Nicholson’s turn as The Joker in Tim Burton’s Batman? Watching him and his crew enter the room as Prince plays is basically the best thing to happen in the movie too.
For years and years, Mark Hamill voiced the animated version of The Joker, winning countless awards in the process. Here he is delivering the incredible monologue from the end of The Killing Joke.
Finally, remember the original Batman series with Adam West? Goofy as hell, it still allowed for a pretty awesome version of The Joker to appear, played by Cesar Romero.
So there you have it! All the biggest and best versions of The Joker to grace our screens until now. We can’t wait to see where The Joker takes the clown prince of crime next.
