What’s it about?

It’s part of the ‘Arrowverse’ that includes Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl.

A group of renegade heroes and rogues, banded together by the time traveller Rip Hunter, take on the near impossible mission to stop Apocalyptic villain, Vandal Savage.

Using a spaceship called ‘Waverider,’ they travel to different time periods, trying to protect the timeline and stop Vandal Savage from sending the world into chaos and destruction. But when you mess with time, even with good intentions, you’re still bound to mess up the future.

Vandal Savage
The arch villain we have been waiting for! The immortal Vandal Savage not only wants to bring about the apocalypse but seeks to destroy all of time and the world. A villain so ancient, he worked for Ramses 11, but Egypt was only the beginning of his quest for world domination: “I play a far deeper game than you could ever hope to comprehend." he warns Rip Hunter.

Get to know some of the cast:

Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter) is the fourth actor in the DC shared TV universe who was also in Doctor Who, where he played the Doctor’s companion Rory. Other Whovian alumni include John Barrowman (the ever handsome Captain Jack), Alex Kingston (the Doctor’s wife, River Song) and Colin Salmon (Dr Moon). You may also recognise him from the acclaimed series Broadchurch. Arthur’s inner-child geeked out at the role on Legends: “My 8-year-old self is going absolutely, completely nuts! I’m a big Star Wars fan and a fan of lots of action-adventure stuff, from when I was a kid, with things like Back to the Future, and this appeals to my inner child so heavily

Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom), from 2006’s Superman Returns movie, traded in the blue spandex and tights for a super awesome robotic suite. He still looks as good as he did when he played Superman, proving that once a hero always a legend.

The smouldering Prison Break brothers Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell re-unite in Legends as Captain Cold and Heatwave. Their new characters clash and banter at every turn, proving their chemistry is as strong as ever.

Some Easter Eggs Revealed:

Rip Hunter gives good quote: "I've seen Men of Steel die and Dark Knights fall” - A cool DC universe insider cross-reference to the storylines in The Death of Superman and The Dark Knight. We love it when shows give us a wink like that.

In one of the Legends episodes, Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) says: “This isn't my first prison break", a cute reference to his past show Prison Break.

We know DC likes to riff on real historical figures and events – and there are some of our favourites in Legends. In the episode ‘Doomworld’ it would appear Donald Trump is President of the United States, as Arrow cross-over character Damien Darhk promises to go golfing with him and stay at his hotel. In ‘Invasion’, the team take on an alien invasion in Redmond, Oregon – and there was in fact a recorded classified UFO sighting in Redmond, Oregon in 1951.

Our Cheat Sheet gives you just a taste of what’s waiting for you in the full DC Legends of Tomorrow experience – there are even more superheroes and villains to get to know... start making them your Legends today, not tomorrow.
