8 Blow Your Mind Tarantino Facts

Just about any moment in a Tarantino film is guaranteed to blow you away.
8. BRING OUT THE GIMP- PULP FICTION

We can still recall the shock and revulsion that overcame us when we first saw this scene in the movie theatres, all those years ago. It’s imprinted on the brain.

7. CUTTNG OFF THE EAR- RESERVOIR DOGS

You’ll never listen to the song ‘Stuck in the Middle with You’ in the same way after seeing this scene that shocked the world when it was first released. It became one of the most talked about, argued about and dissected (pardon the pun) Tarantino scenes ever. Mr Blonde didn’t torture for a reason...he tortured for fun.

6. SWASTIKA FACE CARVING - INGLORIOUS BASTARDS

Revenge is a dish best served with a knife. Think if you’re a Nazi you’re going to slip away to some South American country after the war and hide out in anonymity? Not when you have a swastika carved into your face.

5. BRAD AND A BONG – TRUE ROMANCE

This is how we all pictured Brad living at this time of his life- at home with a bong. Have always wondered if it was real weed he was smokin’.

4. DENIRO AND FONDA - JACKIE BROWN

What happens next is truly surprising... A stunning, shocking moment in one of Tarantino’s most underrated masterpieces.
We nearly chose the De Niro bong scene but two bong scenes in one list seemed a tad extravagant.

3. THE BRIDE, THE SWORD AND THE BALL AND CHAIN - KILL BILL VOL. 1 & VOL. 2

Have you heard the online chatter about a third instalment of Kill Bill - where The Bride returns, yellow tack suit and sword intact. Pray it will happen.

2. THE D IS SILENT - DJANGO UNCHAINED

Forgive us for choosing such a quiet, restrained, small moment in a film filled with lots of the opposite. But we love the delivery, stillness and subtext.
I know we should have chosen either the ‘death by dogs’ scene or the ‘say goodbye to Miss Laura’ moment. Both are chilling classics in a film riddled with disturbing violence.

1. THAT FLASHBACK IN THE SNOW - THE HATEFUL EIGHT

In typical Tarantino fashion, Samuel L Jackson delivers the monologue of the film (which in itself could’ve made the list) but it’s the flashback scene he describes that has collective audience jaws-dropping (pun intended) . Did it happen? Did it not? Who cares. The effect is the same. O.M.G
